In 1960, my father purchased his
first Oatmeal Creme Pie. He was in college on the
GI Bill, and was limited in his spending ability.
So at .49¢ a carton, he survived and was able
to buy school books with the money he saved. Those
Oatmeal Creme Pies kept him going throughout college.
I can still remember when I was little, in the 70's,
taking the Nutty Bar® wafer bar apart and eating
the peanut butter between each wafer. We couldn't
afford many treats, so this was like gold to me.
Even as the
years have progressed, I have been able to pass this
tradition on to my daughter who is now 17. It is
still funny to watch us both take the Nutty Bar® wafer
bar apart to see who can lick the peanut butter out
and devour it
the quickest. Thank you for allowing Little Debbie® snacks
to be a part of our family. She is definitely our
girl.
