Little Debbie® and I started
junior high school together in 1960. I couldn’t
wait for lunch so I could sit with my friends and
enjoy my Little Debbie® snack.
Our relationship continued all through school, and
then on to college in 1967.
I was packing lunches for two in 1985, for me and
my new husband. We would meet in a park at noon to
share our day, and to relax eating our Little Debbie® snacks.
For two newlyweds, this was a few minutes of heaven
that we could enjoy, even on our tight budget.
Over the years, three little ones joined our family,
and along with my homemade baked treats, I also included
a family favorite in their lunches: my girl, Little
Debbie®. It was great to be able
to rely on a wholesome, easy to pack treat as we
raced to gymnastics, hockey, piano lessons, etc.
Now, as a grandmother, I am again passing out Little
Debbie® snacks. This time to the world’s
greatest grandchildren. Oh, and the newlywed husband
of 37 years ago, we still sit and enjoy a few minutes
of heaven at the end of the day, with a cup of coffee,
and our favorite snack from my girl, Little Debbie®.
