Build It
Cover the table with newspaper and set out materials, such as foam blocks, ice
cream sticks, construction paper, glue, safety scissors, tape, poster paint,
decorations, and so on. Let the kids make whatever they want: buildings,
trucks, cars, robots, even whole cities.
Giant Structure
Gather large appliance boxes and let the kids work together
to build a giant structure using duct tape. Have them paint and decorate the
structure when it's done.
Sand Play
Fill a kiddie pool with sand and let the kids play with construction
toys in the sand. Include materials such as small boxes, measuring cups,
wooden blocks, small cars, shovels, pails, and so on. Offer a bucket
of water for added fun.
Chewy Construction
Cut up Little Debbie® Marshmallow Treats into squares, rectangles,
and triangles. Let the kids stick them together to create a new construction,
using peanut butter or marshmallow creme as adhesive.
