• Make
a scarecrow out of old clothes stuffed with towels and straw. For the
head, draw a funny face on a pumpkin and top it with an old hat. Set the
scarecrow at the front door to greet the guests.
• Cut tree trunks and branches from brown construction paper. Glue
leaves and pine cones to the tree branches and tape them to the walls
or set them on top of the tablecloth. Use real tree branches if you like.
• Place miniature pumpkins all over the room. Draw a funny face on
each pumpkin and write a guest's name at the bottom.
• Create a table centerpiece with a display of Indian corn, a variety
of colorful gourds, and bright leaves in a big wicker or cornucopia basket.
• For a centerpiece, hollow out a big pumpkin and
fill it with flowers, fall leaves, or Little Debbie®
Fall Party Cakes. Or fill it with water and float apples
or candles in it.
