Island
Feast
1. Have a Hawaiian luau with lots of tropical food, such as fruit
salad, bananas dipped in marshmallow and coconut, kiwi slices, pineapple
wedges, watermelon balls served in a carved watermelon shell, scooped-out
oranges filled with sherbet, and so on.
Snack Basket
1. Make a watermelon basket by cutting a watermelon in half lengthwise,
using a zigzag cut.
2. Open the watermelon halves and scoop out the insides to make
two bowls from the shell.
3. Dry the inside of the shells with paper towels, then fill them
with a variety of wrapped Little Debbie® snacks.
4. Let the kids help themselves.
5. Use the scooped out fruit to make watermelon balls.
Edible Tiki Torches
1. Make your own edible tiki torches with Little
Debbie® Nutty
Bars®. Unwrap the bars, and give one to each child.
2. Let them dip the ends into a bowl of yellow-tinted icing, to
make the "fire."
3. Wave the torches in the air, then gobble them up!
Hawaiian Island Cake
1. Open packages of Little
Debbie® Devil Squares® or Fudge
Brownies and place them next to each other to form a large square.
2. Tint white frosting blue and cover half the square to look like
the sea. Cover the other half with white frosting and sprinkle brown sugar
on top to look like sand.
3. Set toy hula dancers and plastic palm trees on the sand and have
a tiny toy shark or dolphin coming up out of the ocean. Use candles as
tiki torches to complete your scene.
