America
Bee
1. Write up some simple questions about American history, such
as "Who was the first President of the United States?", "When
did America become independent?" and "How many stars did the
original flag have?"
2. Have the players stand in a circle.
3. Take turns asking them questions in the form of a spelling bee.
If a player gets a right answer, he remains standing. If he gets a wrong
answer, he must sit down and is out of the game.
4. The last remaining player wins the game.
Puzzling Flag
1. Draw and color two large flags on two large sheets of poster
board.
2. Cut the flags into large puzzle pieces, keeping the two flags
separate.
3. Divide the group into two teams and have them race to see who
can put their flag together first.
4. When they're finished, combine all the puzzle pieces and then
see who can put their flag together first!
Firecracker!
1. Blow up enough red, white, and blue balloons for each player.
2. Divide into two teams and have the teams race to see who can
pop the most balloons by sitting on them!
3. For added fun, write a stunt on a small piece of paper, such
as "Sing the National Anthem," then roll it up and stick it
inside the balloon before you blow it up. When the balloon pops, that
player must perform the stunt before he can try to pop another balloon!
