Make flags to represent each athlete or team of athletes. Give the kids
rectangles of white fringed cloth and have them color their flags with fabric
paint, permanent markers, or puffy paints. Attach the flags to sticks or
thin wooden dowels.
• Make T-shirts for the kids to wear (or create pennants to display)
as they compete.
• Take the kids to a sporting event and enjoy live athletics. Root
for your team and eat your favorite concessions.
